Being a fan of yard sale shopping and themed decorating I have acquired a vast amount of items over the past 18 years living in my home and it has come time to rid myself of most of my possessions.  Having yard sales until it’s all gone looks like the best option.

I am going thru a divorce, the home I’ve had for 18 years is in jeopardy, I must move and my treasures must go.  But how on earth do I do that?

Well this site is the idea that came to me.  Is it a good idea?  Only time will tell.

I personally hate to see something advertised that I might be interested in only to not be able to see a picture of it.  Besides, who doesn’t like looking at pictures?  How do the big companies sell you….with clever wording…..and……PICTURES!

I am willing to trade items for services or items I am in need of.

What are those services and items you ask???…..

1.)  A 5×8 enclosed trailer in good condition.  If you happen to have one of these taking up space in your yard and you see something(s) on the site you would like to trade lets see if we can work something out.

It can even be homemade, long as it doesn’t leak and has good tires,lights, etc.

2.)  On the other hand….I already have a 4×7 open trailer,(I really need it 5×7 or 8 ) if your a carpenter looking for something to do, and there is something on the site you want, let me know…I have no cash to pay, supplies and labor would be up to you.

(another thought on this trailer…if you have sheets of plywood and 2×4’s, I will trade for that also and enclose it myself…thanks)

3.)  Major lawn clean up…I have been neglecting it terribly and don’t have the time to deal with it.

4.)  A screen room, at least 10×10, new deep cell batteries, a portable generator, 12 volt fridge or cooler, small solar panels (with the wiring please), tarps, a good chuck box/camp kitchen, small LP tanks (up to 30 gal.), but the smaller ones would be better.

Let me know what kind of camp gear ya got, I’ll let ya know if I need it!  (I have most of the “small stuff” already)

5.)  And I have a loose door on my GMC Jimmy that needs repaired.  It’s not matching up with the latch.

I may be interested in trading this vehicle also, for a van, preferably high top, camper/conversion type…no Fords please. Must have a good tow hitch, low miles, and good tires, tranny, no leaks, etc.

The Jimmy has less than 100 thousand miles and it’s a 2000, SLT, newer brakes, new front tires, tinted windows, leather interior (excellent shape), tow package, a/c blows cold, everything works except the gas gauge, (I just set the trip meter at fill up) and the driver door is “off center” of the latch.  That’s all that comes to mind right now.

We  intend to travel some and see what’s in the rest of this country.

Most everything I own is up for sale or barter, and I have a house full of stuff.

A small 3 sleeper class B or C is our goal.

I would also consider a 6 month or year long lease in my house in trade for the above mentioned camper/RV.

I think that’s it for now I will add and delete items as necessary.

I have lots of things not on the site yet, like a deacons bench (that’s what my grandmother called it), about 300 albums (jazz, rock, and ????),  several music CD’s, movies…DVD and VHS, lots of Disney VHS.  I also have kitchen items, a bakers rack, a decent size fridge/freezer (not working), I was told it was probably the thermostat, and various other “kitchen” stuff.   There is also a table saw (not in the kitchen), a blower, maybe some other “yard” stuff and tools, I just have to much to list.
